(previous part - SATYA - TRUTH)
Asteya means not stealing.
But apart from the absolute prohibition of appropriating objects or values that do not belong to us, Asteya also implies
the absence of greed, or in other words "not to covet" other people's goods.
It involves honesty, honor and a certain sense of justice, which makes us give neither more nor less than is necessary.
MISA first year course - ASTEYA:
The desire to possess and enjoy the good of another leads people to deeply negative actions.
From this desire comes the tendency to steal and envy.
ASTEYA (A = not, STEYA = steal) or "not to steal" includes not only the idea of not taking what belongs to another without his permission,
but also that of not using something borrowed for a different purpose than the established one or more than the owner allowed.
Thus, it includes alienation, breach of trust and misuse.
At the mental level, ASTEYA means lack of greed and this must be understood in one sense more widely: "do not covet".
The initial desire to have what others possess is the cause that leads to the appropriation of other people's things.
But even the simple thought of coveting what someone else has can disturb the emotional and mental balance. He creates dissatisfaction, envy.
VYASA says: "ASTEYA is respected when, freed from all desire, the yogi refuses to appropriate the goods that belong to others."
So if someone wants a thing that belongs to another and takes it, he is a thief.
If he wants something and does not appropriate that object, he is not a thief, but he does not practice ASTEYA.
Only if you neither desire nor take any object from someone else, then you respect ASTEYA.
As long as you want what another possesses, you are stealing at the level of intention, mentally. ASTEYA also involves abstaining from any injustice, the categorical imperative here being to always leave everyone what they deserve.
When the spiritual aspirant has firmly established himself in the yogic virtue of honesty he acquires a power of clairvoyance-like knowledge
or intuitive consciousness. It is exactly the same faculty that the prophets possess.
* apart from the absolute prohibition of appropriating objects or values that do not belong to us, Asteya also implies the absence of greed, or in other words "not to covet" other people's goods.
It involves honesty, honor and a certain sense of justice, which makes us give neither more nor less than is necessary.
Ordinary MISA students do not manifest special material desires, they do not aspire to become rich.
They are content with the bare necessities and, from this point of view, manifest material desires to a lesser extent than ordinary people;
therefore, in general, they do not tend to appropriate the goods of others.
The rare cases of theft among students cannot be considered as something characteristic, in no case can it be said that
the members of the yogic community at MISA would somehow be thieves.
And in this case, it is the leaders who have shown tendencies to appropriate the values of others.
Some goods and real estate ended up being registered in the name of important people in MISA, invoking the need to protect them
from a possible abusive seizure action by the authorities.
These things were revealed in an article on the MISA website (article since deleted - archive):
"... he admits the fact that "the spouses named Tr." are actually THIEVES because they refuse to return the properties
that have been registered purely formally in their name, only because at that time there was talk of outlawing MISA and, as a direct result,
the entire MISA patrimony could have been abusively confiscated (this despite the fact that upon the acquisition of these properties
- which are houses transformed into spiritual settlements or centers of natural therapies, where many yogis live for free -
they never contributed anything and that's why they have no right over them!).
In other words, their refusal to return what never belonged to them is clearly THEFT and ABUSE."
These assets and real estate had been seized in 2004, in a human trafficking case, concluded with acquittals or prescriptions.
In the final judgment in the trial, the MISA assets that were seized returned to their owners in documents
that were revealed on this occasion 🔗.
In addition to the "spouses" accused of theft, there were also other high-ranking people from MISA that had assets and real estate registered
in their name.
The "spouses" accused of theft were part of the group of so-called "ridiculous conspirators" who left MISA, after the spiritual leader Bivolaru
accused them of plotting to take over the school, but they returned these assets to MISA after the trial ended
(on that occasion blessings they were offered).
Neither did MISA show goodwill in relation to a property in which the group of those who left MISA had invested significant sums. The exchange of messages since then ("the letters' battle") remained testimony:
"On the occasion of the retirement, L.Gh. wrote a short personal letter to Grieg in which [...] he was retiring and requested [...] Grieg
to return the financial investment he had made at the beginning (by buying the land on which the hall is located and for the materials used
in the construction process) for the Center.
The situation of that land was hardly deciphered by L.Gh. in a period of 8 months.
That he paid the money required for that land is obvious; he didn't donate that land to anyone, it's all in his name.
Now, in parting, it must be clear that L.Gh. is no longer willing to make any donation to MISA; does not arrogate its right to the hall,
he claims nothing for his efforts there. And yet, he, L.Gh. is the owner of this Center and this company.
Here is a quote from the letter that L.Gh. sent it to Grieg when he retired from classes:
"The last Center to which I had, without false modesty, a major contribution as an initiative, design, site organization and collected donations,
later joining others, as you know, is the one where yoga will be done as its destination was established from the beginning,
if you will accept return on my investment for this center.
I know and appreciate your support during that time, and it seems fair to me that MISA, through you and the help of others,
contributed to the creation of this center.
I am not a materialistic man at all... Now, at the time of separation under these conditions, it is obvious that certain problems arise.
I will remind you now that the Center is in my name.
Everything that has been organized so that the courses can be held safely until now, has been organized by S.Tr. and by me together
with a small but very valuable and efficient team.
My contribution to this Center so far is as follows:
1. The land, which is my property, I bought it with my money [...], land that I made available for this construction
and which is now valued at approximately 90,000 euros.
2. My financial investments over time for this center amount to approximately 15,000 euros.
The entire building with land is now valued at at least 400,000 euros having 750 m2 built. As is correctly noted,
my financial contribution is more than a quarter.”
In the absence of Bivolaru who took refuge abroad, the deeded owners of the goods and real estate were left to decide on them
as if it had been their personal property (though they had contributed nothing to it, as before shown).
The NATHA branch of MISA was also involved in a lost lawsuit with a former student from Denmark
(video 22min:00sec 🔗).
➽ Although it is stated about the MISA leader that "for all the books that Gregorian Bivolaru wrote he did not request money
and offered them free of charge to publishing houses and individuals who wanted to publish them" (🔗) or that
"no fee was charged by MISA or Mr. Bivolaru for the provision of yoga classes" (🔗), he did not clarified how he makes a living
He had frequented stores to purchase books and movies, which he always claimed were for students.
But in this way, an aspect of ASTEYA is violated:
* ASTEYA includes not only the idea of not taking what belongs to another without his permission, but also that of not using something
for a purpose other than its original purpose or more than the owner has permitted. Thus, it includes alienation, breach of trust and misuse.
➽ So using books (plagiarism) as well as broadcasting films for a fee, without the owner's consent (license) is theft,
both morally and legally.
Here is the proof that those who watch the erotic films broadcast at MISA must pay a fee, under the name of "difference in contribution" (link).
In the article ”SYNTHESIS ABOUT MISA® - ch.5 PLAGIARISM” (link), it was shown that texts from other works are used in MISA courses,
without indicating - as would be correct - the source (plagiarism).
The most blatant example is when a plagiarized text from André Van Lysebeth's book "J'apprends le yoga" was presented
as the account of a REAL personal experience of the one who "created" the MISA course.
So the 42-th lesson in the second year of MISA course in Romania begins with the following fragment (the one highlighted by a blue background):
"To make myself as well understood as possible in what concerns the importance of normal breathing, I will refer to an authentic case.
Years ago, a man came to our YOGA classes. In that situation I was deeply surprised and realized that”... then simply plagiarized text follows:
MISA later claimed copyright and forbade the reproduction of his lectures in any form, quoted from an article deleted from the MISA website
and archived (🔗):
”Another tendentious statement is that all our yoga classes are "plagiarized".
In this regard, we must mention that, for example, from the late yoga teacher André van Lysebeth, we had his written consent many years ago
to extract everything we consider useful from his excellent works of yoga.
At that time, André van Lysebeth very kindly (and even happily) agreed that we had the right to use all the information
that was presented in his works both in our yoga classes and in the articles that we were going to publish in the magazine our yoga."
If professor van Lysebeth consented with great kindness and even joy, why was the source not indicated?
Copying without citing the source - even with written consent - constitutes plagiarism because it misleads, giving the impression
that the text belongs to the quoter.
"We had his written consent many years ago."
It would be correct to say "we have" because, in Romanian and many other languages, "we had" is in the past tense, which means that,
in the present, "we no longer have it" or "we had it, but we lost it in the tram"...
Moreover, Bivolaru blames those who do the same as him:
the conference "A response to an online discussion group" part 1 - 14 September 2021":
"... scammers left this yoga class, and one of them even had the amazing audacity to open his own class, with a diploma purchased
with a lot of money from India, but still using the courses of this school and using the diploma only as a cover, and sometimes it went so far
as to propose training courses for instructors who were to receive an Indian diploma, paying for this is an impressive sum of over 1,000 euros.
Moreover, the use of the courses of these spiritual schools of integral esoteric yoga by impostors who thus earn a lot of money in this way,
is already an old practice.
N.T. - nicknamed Swami Vivekananda Sarasvati - has been doing this for a long time in courses in Thailand."
As for the "diploma purchased with a lot of money from India" by Swami Vivekananda Sarasvati, Bivolaru also has a diploma from India,
obtained between April-May 1990 (!), which can be seen here.
➽ Not only does he plagiarize, but often the MISA leader modifies the quoted text, sometimes even changing its meaning,
i.e. using it for a different purpose than the original one, the one permitted by the owner.
This manipulative maneuver is not only a violation of ASTEYA (non-stealing) but also of SATYA - Truth!
➽ A theft represents the fake book "THE MYSTIC LADY" (link), by using some chapters from the work "WORLD of TANTRA"
and adding to these three contrived chapters on love games in which one drinks the other's urine.
➽ Extremely intimate sequences, filmed for the secret test of the Miss Shakti competition, in which there were female students
exemplifying "urinary orgasm", sequences that were intended to be viewed only by the Head of the Jury - Bivolaru -
appeared in pornographic films distributed for sale in the West.
The guru stated that the films were allegedly seized by prosecutors during the 2004 raids and then sold by them,
but the release and marketing dates of the films contradict this (link).
➽ The leader of MISA purchases in large quantities pornographic films by the dozen, with which he then bombards the students,
pressuring them to watch them (copyright?) and criticizing them when they don't react appropriately (link):
”although the efforts that were made to structure and then ensure the special program for adults, which involved making some selections
from at least 1000 films that, in specialty stores, cost between 45 and 60 euros each, we found huge fluctuations regarding your participation.
The paradox to which I have referred reveals that the great majority of lethargic, selfish human beings are incapable of appreciating
what is freely given to them.
That is precisely why we hereby announce that, starting next year, the conditions for participation in this program intended for adults will change.
Participation will only be possible for a fee, even for people who benefit from free of charge, and if the number of interested people decreases,
under these conditions, we inform you that this program will be eliminated forever."
Did the producers and owners of such films "gladly" agree to have their films to serve the MISA organization in getting audience or money?
If not, it is a violation of the ASTEYA principle!
➽ MISA leaders encourage "voluntary activities", which benefit only MISA students, including the leaders.
In the widely accepted sense, volunteering includes activities that are – to the greatest extent – for the benefit of other people
than those who carry out these activities.
Some of MISA's leaders or members abandoned their jobs and careers when they started working in MISA, living in MISA ashrams
(built and maintained by the voluntary labor of some students) in exchange for more leisurely activities.
➽ For decades, students have paid monthly fees to attend classes and camps, but – except for classes in some big cities –
they did not receive receipts or tax receipts. The same for purchases of books or natural preparations.
MISA declares revenues to ANAF (tax office), but there is something strange about them.
For the year 2021, MISA (unique identification code 4829126) declared to ANAF (link) income received from non-patrimonial activities
(members' donations and contributions) in the amount of 647,785 RON (1 Euro = 5 RON, 1 USD = 4.5 RON).
Dividing the amount by the monthly course fee (RON 120) and the 11 months of the "yogi" course year, results in 500 paying students.
However, if we also take into account the fact that the amount should also include the camp fees (300 RON per spring camp
and 700 RON for the summer one), the number should be even lower than that!
These figures contradict both the number of students claimed over the years (35,000 link) and the number - much smaller,
but still more than 7 times higher - recently revealed by the leader of MISA in an article on this blog (link).
MISA not only collects money from courses and camps (often without receipts or tax receipts), but also from all kinds of taxes:
Registration for the Theophanic Charismatic Movement (ckick on + [25 iulie] Înscrieri selecție MCT here).
"Each person will submit a guarantee of 100 RON upon registration. For the people who will be selected, the guarantee
will be returned after 5 consecutive years of participation in the conferences within the Theophanic Charismatic Movement.
For people who will not be selected, the guarantee will be returned immediately after the communication of the results of that selection."
Were tax receipts issued for these amounts? Collected and undeclared amounts are a form of theft not only in perspective
principles of YAMA and NIYAMA, but also from the perspective of law.
Bivolaru promised at the founding of the Charismatic Movement that access would forever be free (see here) because it was founded
under the inspiration of God the Father.
Even if the amount is returned after 5 years, it will have a lower value due to inflation, MISA benefiting from the difference in value
as well as a "sui-generis" interest-free loan for 5 years!
➽ MISA claims to have its roots in the millennial tantric tradition, but has registered as its own trademarks some concepts
related to this tradition: CAMP FOR THE REVELATION OF THE SUPREME SELF ATMAN®, SEXUAL CONTINENCE®,
ESOTERIC VIRA (MAN) GROUP®, ESOTERIC SHAKTI (WOMEN) GROUP®, OCCULT RESONANCE®,
SHIVAISM® ESOTERIC GROUP® (see here).
Moreover, MISA also made the (free) THEOPHANIC CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT® a registered trademark (see here).
"You shall not covet".
The leader of MISA aspires to the status of the greatest sage in the history of mankind, the most special of God's messengers on Earth.
He exhibits a strange behavior: he always appeals to the great sages, takes their teachings as he considers, "corrects" and modifies them
(as if they were incomplete, incomplete), and then appropriates them under the pretext of achieving a "renewed synthesis ”,
presenting them in the end as his “revelations in the planetary premiere”.
Over the years, he appropriated the "support of Shambhala" (of which he eventually kept a logo), the wisdom of the East,
the science of the West, the prophecies, all culminating in the Attributes of God.
He gradually reduced the other masters until he eliminated them, under the pretext of the new religion: Godness without intermediaries,
with him as the only intermediary.
After arrogating and appropriating the ideas of others, he registered them as his own trademark.
He appropriated the works that ”Professor van Lysebeth kindly and even happily made available” to him, he made them
the basis of the Hatha yoga courses; also added Bihar School of Yoga works (with copyright marks! - see here), after which
he claimed copyright over them!
If the scholars and sages did not do this but, on the contrary, left writings for those who will come, why does Bivolaru do exactly the opposite?
Jesus of Nazareth said that "no one, lighting a torch, puts it in a hidden place, not under a mantle, but in a candlestick,
like those who enter to see the light", but it can be seen that ”he was mistaken”, just as ”he was mistaken” when he ”incompletely revealed”
the Our Father prayer, having to be "completed" by the Son of God from Romania.
Bivolaru is the supreme thief of spirituality. At least in this aspect - of intellectual theft - he is the greatest of all.
quote:
When the spiritual aspirant has established himself firmly in the yogic virtue of honesty, he acquires a power of knowledge
similar to clairvoyance or intuitive awareness. It is exactly the same faculty that the prophets possess.
... And it is exactly the same faculty that Bivolaru does not possess!
