The circus started by the creation of the page "Twisted Media - Deception as Agenda" (link) continues.
This is a bizarre media production that presents itself as ”a private initiative of yoga students from schools
affiliated to ATMAN Federation”, but which ”does not represent the official position of the Federation"
solemnly declare that they have no connection with each other and especially with Gregorian Bivolaru,
who is "only the author of the courses" and not at all "master, guide or guru", as it is said here, I quote:
He never insisted on being considered a master, guide or guru by anyone and humbly offered his guidance
and suggestions only to those who chose to explicitly ask for it.
But the girls who were called by the guru without knowing why, being made to swear to remain silent
BEFORE finding out what it was about, arriving in France even though they thought they were going
to Sweden, did those girls "explicitly choose to request a meeting" with the Most Humble?
Returning to the aforementioned page, I have repeatedly shown, during the analysis of several articles
hosted there, that the main concern of the editors of this new page is to DISTRACT ATTENTION from
the accusations brought against the guru Bivolaru and his criminal group and to direct it in directions
favorable to the organization. Every time I analyzed an article, I had the impression that I had reached
the peak of the lie from MISA, but each time something even more false appeared!
The latest article, titled “⟪Sect⟫ – How a Label Was Built: From the Securitate Files to Moral Panic” (link),
took the lead in this lie ranking, jumping straight to first place. The essence of this article is concentrated
in the following excerpt:
● quote:
In 2026, the documentary Twisted Yoga was released on Apple TV+ and triggered a series of negative articles
about MISA worldwide. By referring to the yogic group as a cult, the documentary did not introduce a new label,
but reused one that already existed – constructed in Romania decades earlier and later amplified in an international
context. The question “Is MISA a cult?” contains a trap that few notice. The “cult” label applied to the MISA
yoga school does not arise from a rigorous academic or legal evaluation, but can be traced back to the control
practices of the [Romanian secret police] ”Securitate” in the 1980s. Thus, the term “cult” does not reflect
a proven reality, but the result of a gradual process of stigmatization, in which state institutions, the media,
and social prejudices worked together. Saying that MISA is a cult is, in fact, a moral judgment disguised
as a definition. In this case, the “cult” label is not an analytical category – it is a tool of stigmatization with
a clear origin, traceable back to the ”Securitate” files. The starting point for any serious analysis of the
MISA case must be Romania in the 1980s. Not because MISA existed then – the movement was founded only
in January 1990 – but because the label that would later be applied to it had already been built institutionally,
in the operational language of the Securitate.
comments: After the founding of MISA in 1990, the term cult was associated with it first in the press, then
officially in the 2004 files, in the prosecutors' indictments, through association with other sects around the world
(see G. Andreescu, MISA - Radiography of a Repression link). Therefore, even if the cult label "had alread
been institutionally constructed", it was not stuck only on MISA's forehead, but on all groups of its kind,
which emerged as outgrowths of wider religious currents. In communist Romania, any religious group that
did not share the religions officially recognized by the communist state were labeled as cult, not just Bivolaru's
group.
But also in terms of international media, since the Finnish documentary "The Dark Side of a Tantric Cult"
"Yoga Sekten" broadcasted in 2025 (audio), the Portuguese podcast "Secrets of the Yoga Sect" from
early 2026 (audio), to the French newspaper Liberation (article), everywhere there is talk about the
"MISA/ATMAN cult". And not only the producers of these media productions use the words "cult" or
"sect", but also the former students who declared themselves victims of the group and filed complaints
with the French police, leading to the launch of the international investigation against it! Were all of them
referring to the MISA/ATMAN cult, being under the influence of the Romanian communist secret police?
Let's be serious! It was not the label of cult created by the former secret police that was stuck on MISA,
but the GENERAL concept of cult! In fact, at a certain point in the article, this very idea is emphasized:
● quote:
Labelling MISA as a “cult” is not an isolated phenomenon but fits into a broader pattern observable in
the modern history of religions and spiritual movements. Over time, many groups that are now accepted
– or even mainstream – were once stigmatized in a similar way. Practices unfamiliar to the general public,
such as Tantra or forms of Eastern spirituality, create discomfort and misunderstanding.
comments: The problem is not in the practices that are "unfamiliar" to the public, but in the imposition
of these on those who are uncomfortable with them. MISA has invoked swinger practices (details) to try
to justify group sex, polyamory, and sexual "initiations" by the guru, but the problem is that while those
who go to swinger clubs know exactly why they go there and have chosen this in advance, MISA female
students did not know why they were invited by the guru, especially since everything was covered by
the veil of vows of silence.
The key word of the quote above is "misunderstanding", which insinuates that MISA's practices are actually
meant for the good of the victims, but that the "stupid victims" do not understand the good that is being done
to them. This attitude of false superiority ("only we truly understand") leads to an attitude of forcing and
abuse ("good" through force), forgetting that "love through force" is the very definition of abuse or rape!
The above excerpt is an illustration of how MISA activists try to hide their abusive practices under the guise
of forms of Eastern spirituality.
● quote:
Moral Panics is a recurring phenomenon in modern societies: a disproportionate, media-amplified reaction
to a group or behavior perceived as a social threat, creating an image of danger far exceeding reality.
In such cases, public reaction often goes beyond the actual seriousness of the phenomenon, and the targeted
group becomes a “symbolic enemy.” Media campaigns against MISA appeared immediately after 1989 and
intensified in the second half of the 1990s. Andreescu explicitly identifies the source: “the slanders launched
through the press in the early 1990s against MISA were directed by former secret police officers.”
comments: During the communist regime, the secret police officers were pursuing (all) sects - not just MISA -
because they spread ideas contrary to the materialist-atheist communist ideology. But in 1990, after the fall
of communism, what business did they have with MISA? All the other sects - Baptists, Jehovah's Witnesses -
were removed from the attention of the former secret police officers. But why did MISA remain in their attention?
What is different about MISA that made them continue to "persecute" the yoga movement, while absolutely
everyone else was removed from the pursuit, legalized and even made official? What does MISA have that
the others don't? Group sex and sexual perversions? Swingers have that too, and they're not illegal!
Maybe sexual abuse and exploitation? That must be it! MISA was not brought to court because it's a cult!
The cult remains stuck as a social label, but this is not the cause of the French police investigations, nor the
"unfamiliar" beliefs, but the sexual abuse and sexual-financial exploitation, which have nothing to do with
religion, but on the contrary, with worldly sins!
Bivolaru's thesis, expounded since the early years of MISA, is persecution due to evil secret organizations
(the global "Occult"), illustrated by "letters threatening death and more and more offering money" (letter).
"The fight against authentic spirituality", say those from MISA! But why doesn't the "evil forces" persecute
other spiritual groups as well? MISA answers: "Only WE are authentic and possess the Truth, the others
are fake!" That is, only MISA, with group sex and urine drinking, is authentic...
Over time, MISA invoked the persecution by the ”Securitate” before 1990, by the ”former Securitate” during
the period 1990-2005 and only by the global Occult from 2005 until today. In Romania, the ”former Securitate”
suddenly stopped the persecution after Bivolaru fled abroad and he was taken over by Westerners.
This is the lie of circumstance, that is, the lie according to the situation and the needs. In this case, this comes
from the permanent need for self- victimization of those from MISA. But the problem with this type of lie is
that it ends up contradicting itself, when the circle of lies closes.
● citat:
In MISA’s case, the “cult” label was institutionally produced, amplified by media, and reinforced through
repetition, without independent evidence.
comments: Sorry, but there is also evidence that MISA is a cult, according to its own criteria (details).
● quote:
A sociological study conducted by the League Against Defamation of Yoga and Spiritual Movements
(LAYMS) in 2014–2015 on a representative sample of Romanian citizens who do not practice yoga
confirms this numerically. Among those who had heard of MISA but did not personally know any
practitioner, 97.6% obtained their information exclusively from news and TV programs.
The researchers’ conclusion: the negative image of MISA is largely due to televised negative news.
comments: LAYMS (link) is another "undercover" creation of MISA, an NGO made up of MISA/ATMAN
members that claims to be independent, through which MISA acts to counterbalance and intimidate critical
voices against them. This is a tactic by which MISA agents set up as many supposedly independent groups
as possible, to appear more numerous, giving the illusion of a majority of public opinion on the organization's
side. LAYMS activists, disguised as independent and objective researchers, went among people and asked
them what they knew about MISA. And since fewer Romanians know MISA students (who, moreover, swore
not to reveal anything from the inside), where could they know, except from the media? The question is not
whether they know from TV, but whether the news on TV is real or fake. And, just like in the case of the
former students, whose statements were confirmed by the French police after over a year of surveillance,
the "negative" news on TV was also confirmed: group sex (audio1, audio2) with urine, video chats and porn films,
dirty cash, etc. Television did not invent negative news to compromise MISA, but presented what MISA did,
so that's why the news can only be negative, they cannot be made positive just for the sake of MISA!
And television is not an advertising agent of the organization, just as MISA would like!
Then, the above fragment suggests that Romanians who personally know MISA practitioners only have
a positive image, because they are not included in the percentage of the 97.6% who have a negative image.
However, many of the family members of the students have expressed, often in public, their concern regarding
the attitude of social isolation and some bizarre practices of their yogi relatives. So it is not true that those
who know MISA students automatically fall in admiration for them! The fragment that follows the one above
confirms this:
● quote:
The effects on members of the yoga community are documented: 68.5% of surveyed MISA practitioners
reported being mocked or insulted because of their practice, 62.4% experienced labeling and stigmatization,
44.5% were rejected by relatives or friends, and 21.6% had conflicts at work. Furthermore, 98.3% stated
that negative stereotypes had been applied to them, the primary one being the “cult” label.
comments: So, to the "97.6% of Romanians who do not personally know MISA practitioners" and who have
a negative image from TV, the vast majority of those who do know them are added, bringing the percentage
of those who have a bad image of MISA to 99%. One almost comes to the conclusion that only MISA students
have a good opinion about themselves, what is called at MISA a "state of humility and transfiguration"....
● quote:
What was constructed in the 1990s through local media – via repetition, selection, and dramatization –
is now reproduced in a global format, adapted to a Western audience and integrated into the aesthetics
of the true crime documentary genre.
comments: Uuh, all the global media repeats what the local media says! The BBC, the Portuguese press
trust Observador together with the star of NCIS L.A., Daniela Ruah, German, Danish and Swedish trusts,
AppleTV+, all have their eyes fixed on the Romanian tabloid press, to bring out a topic for a global audience,
because they had no other topics! In fact, this attention is natural, after all, it is about the New Expected Messiah,
with the New Planetary Religion and baptism with holy urine, and MISA, the most important spiritual school
on the planet (source)...
In conclusion, the statement that the cult label applied to MISA comes from the former Romanian secret police,
being then picked up by all the international media, is stupid and false. MISA leaders and activists would
say, invent and do anything to divert attention from the accusations against their guru!
