Twisted Yoga - Documentary about MISA on Apple TV

On March 13, 2026, the British documentary "Twisted Yoga" (3 episodes), produced by Simon Chinn, Jonathan Chinn, Suzanne Lavery, and Bernadette Higgins, will be released on Apple TV. 🔗 🔗

Although it has been advertised for about a week, not many details have been made public.

On February 13, the following announcement was made on platform X

"#TwistedYoga, a new true crime documentary series, premieres this March on #AppleTV.

The series follows former members of a tantric yoga school who say their search for wellness turned into fear, as they sought justice over alleged abuse and manipulation by a self-styled guru."

Both the name of the organization and that of the guru are kept secret. Only those who know the face and the sickly gaze of the guru of Tărtășești can deduce who is depicted in the image used as advertising.

The only place where the name appears clearly, so far, is on the Kinocheck website, and only in the German version.

"The three-part documentary series examines the rise and fall of a tantra yoga movement that attracted people worldwide with promises of spiritual growth and a sense of belonging. Based on the experiences of former students and investigative research in several countries, the series shows how an idealized wellness community became the subject of serious criminal allegations against its founder, Gregorian Bivolaru—allegations that he denies and which continue to be heard in court. By combining personal stories with ongoing research, “Twisted Yoga” creates a nuanced, human portrait of faith, power, and the hidden dynamics within spiritual organizations."

The ghostly "MISA leadership" will surely jump up in alarm and ask foolishly: "Why March 13th? Why now?"

Why?

British humour? To pay a  "tribute" with triple energy (3 episodes) on the true birthday of the Magnificent Gregorian Bivolaru? 😇
