The MISA/ATMAN cult website for twisting people's minds (twistedmedia) has produced a new article.
Its title is rhetorical: " Is this teaching really just about sex? " (archived)
But is MISA/ATMAN about anything other than sex? The answer to this question can be found by answering
to a helpful question, also rhetorical: what kind of initiation did the guru offer his female followers in Paris?
Several former students (Vera, Nathalie, Miranda, Ashleigh) reported that they wanted to speak to the guru
personally about the practice of yoga (and this is what the guru told to the investigators - source), but he did
not have time, being preoccupied just for their sexual "initiation".
Amusingly, the frontispiece of the page on which the article is published shows two angels with spread wings
who are half-naked and are passionately embracing, as if preparing to unite amorously, suggesting that even
angels in heaven have lovemaking as a basic concern, as if erotic pleasure is more intense and more important
to them than the divine ecstasy of the Kingdom of Heaven. The picture, which seems to say that making love
is everything even in Heaven, not just on earth, is like as an affirmative answer to the question in the article's
title, while the author of the article makes efforts to demonstrate the exact opposite!
quote:
One of the recurring claims in podcasts and documentaries about our school is that what is taught here is
essentially a form of sexual practice - perhaps presented in spiritual language, but still centered on sex.
This is a misunderstanding. In some cases, it becomes a conscious distortion.
comments:
The idea that "everyone else doesn't understand what only we understand" is characteristic of fools or wise people.
Since there are still ”some cases” of people who understand, but who consciously distort, meaning they are
malicious, it follows that those at MISA/ATMAN consider themselves to be in the category of wise people.
So, from the point of view of the wise initiates of the great spiritual school, in terms of their teaching, there are
three categories of people:
● the followers of MISA/ATMAN, the only intelligent people in the world in a beneficial sense and who
truly understand meaning of the teaching they promotes.
● enemies, those who only manifest a diabolical intelligence, who also understand the teaching, but who,
being gripped by a visceral demonic hatred, fight against it and seek to distort it.
● the rest of the people, who are fools and do not understand the teaching
We - the authors, contributors and readers of this blog - being clearly in the category of "demonic enemies",
are credited with intelligence, albeit a diabolical one, which consciously - therefore intentionally - distorts
the godly teaching of the great school of saints. We are flattered that the wise people of MISA/ATMAN consider
us conscious, and we don't want to disappoint them with these comments.
quote:
To see why, we need to begin with a distinction that is fundamental in our teaching, but almost entirely absent
from how critics describe it: the distinction between sexuality and Pure Eros.
comments:
First, they claimed that we, the enemies, consciously distort reality, meaning that we first understand it,
but then, consumed by hatred for their intelligence and holiness, we distort the truth to fight against them.
Now, the very essential truth is missing from our criticisms, that is, we do not understand it or hide it.
Then how is the truth distorted, if it is completely absent? Or, if the essential aspect is missing, then how
is it still distorted and, more importantly, who distorts it? The logical answer can only be this: the truth is
distorted even by those who proclaim it, because they are the only ones who talk about it! The rest of us,
the fools, haven't realized this essential truth, so we are not aware of it and therefore we have no way of
talking about it or even distorting it. Only they remain, the smart ones, the only ones who have realized
the essential truth, therefore the only ones who speak about it and therefore the only ones who can distort it,
and only in their minds! So if those who believe they are the only ones who see the truth are either the fools
or the wise, then MISA/ATMAN are not proving to be at all wise with their contradictions.
And there is another problem, a very big one: "Pure Eros" was initially absent from the teachings of the school!
Pure Eros is included by Bivolaru among the Godly Attributes (because God, the One beyond of duality and
polarity, has erotic feelings, according to him), but the teaching of the Attributes was "elaborated" by Bivolaru
only after he found it in Lorber's writings, and the first "exemplification" took place in the summer of 2013,
in the Costinești camp, when the Attributes were still called "divine", and Eros was not yet Pure, but just
simple Eros! (web archive) What kind of teaching did Bivolaru promote until then? "Sacred eroticism"?
The "experts" defending MISA only started talking about "sacred eros" in 2017 (details).
For the first 25 years, MISA talked about tantric sexuality and sexual continence as a path to the sacred,
and only after that did Bivolaru come up with the idea of "Pure Eros". So, at MISA first they talked about
tantric sexuality, Bivolaru did not make sex but only love (not Pure Eros!), after that it came to eroticism
(MISA films were not pornographic, but erotic - TV show) and only in a later, eros also appeared, timidly,
first simple, then "divine" and, finally, "Pure and Godly". Therefore, the primary teaching at MISA was not
about Pure Eros, but about sexuality with continence, to which were added, in theory, transfiguration and love.
quote:
In the writings of Gregorian Bivolaru, sexuality and Pure Eros are not two variations of the same thing.
They belong to different levels of experience. Sexuality, as it is usually lived, is instinctual. It follows a pattern
of tension and release. It moves toward discharge. The pleasure it produces can be intense, but it is short-lived,
and it is often mixed with habit, ego, and unconscious impulses. Even when it feels satisfying, it remains limited.
Pure Eros is of a different nature. It is a subtle, expansive, Godly energy. It is not dependent on discharge,
but can be prolonged, refined, and deepened. When consciously awakened, it transforms the quality of the
entire experience. The qualifier “Pure” indicates that erotic energy contains no other element, no other energy
of a contrary or different nature.
comment: Bullshit! Since the erotic act includes the erection of the sexual organ, it implies the manifestation
of instinctual sexual energy! No man has a controlled erection, at will, without any stimulation involved visual,
tactile or even imaginative! If this were the case, it would mean total control of sexual energy, including
spontaneous sexual continence! Pure Eros means, as in the case of Pure Love, erotic attraction and love that
does not involve the physical body, nor any other physiological manifestation, but the manifestation of the pure
feeling of love between two human beings of the opposite sex! (Bivolaru also perverted this idea, promoting sex
between women!) But in the teaching of MISA it is emphasized that if sexual energy and erection are reduced,
it is necessary to resume slow movements, proof that you cannot be with your penis in vagina and, at the same
time, and with your mind on God!
In his conference "Amazing Revelations Concerning the Sublime Subtle Energy of Pure Divine Eros, which
exists in the esoteric teachings of Jesus and which then persisted in early Christianity", Bivolaru spoke about
sacred couples from the beginning of Christianity, I quote, "which meant that some Christian men to live
intimately, lovingly, ecstatically, with their virgins, one lover who adores them and caresses them, even when
they are naked, but never penetrates them”. Lack of sexual contact differentiates these sacred couples from
sexual couples, so pure eros does not involve sexual contact and nor sexual instincts. But, in case of Bivolaru,
the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! So it doesn't matter what says Bivolaru, but what he
is doing, and what he is doing has become known all over the globe, and it is not good!
quote:
This is why erotic amorous continence is central in the teaching. Not as a moral rule, but as a practical method.
Erotic amorous continence means engaging in love making without loss of sexual energy - for men, without
ejaculation, and for women, without energetic discharge. In the teaching, it is always combined with love
and transfiguration. Only when these three - continence, transfiguration, and love - are present together,
it become possible to enter into a real state of resonance with Eros.
comment: The tendency to discharge, which must be avoided at all times by focusing attention and through
the practice of certain muscular contractions, it proves precisely the manifestation of instinctual energy, which
makes the erotic act not pure. In the fragment above it is recognized that there is a difference between tool
and purpose. The tool is the practice of sexual continence, and the purpose is the spiritualization of sexuality,
reaching the state of pure eros and then of androgynous state. Pure Eros is not the practice, but its crowning.
At MISA they speak in theory about pure eros, but in practice, they still... practice, but act like they're already
experts in pure eros, as if they just look at each other and enter into ecstasy without ever touching each other,
which is obviously a huge lie. And the source of the lies is Bivolaru who, although he claims to induce any
spiritual states at a distance, including the fact that he exemplified Pure Eros, he brought female students
to initiate them sexually in Paris, having sex with them without love and scolding those who refused him.
quote:
In such moments, the physical act itself becomes secondary. What remains is a shared presence, a sense
of communion or even fusion, and a quiet but powerful gratitude that appears naturally, directed toward God
without effort. This is not something abstract, it is something I have come to know step by step through practice.
”The confusion that persists in the consciousness of the vast majority of human beings between eroticism and
sexuality stems from a lack of experience” - Gregorian Bivolaru
comment: If those at MISA have come to understand eros, which they describe as "a natural fusion, directed
towards God effortlessly ”, then why so many pornographic movie viewings that their students are fed up with,
why all the orgies and urine drinking and why was Bivolaru bringing hundreds of women to Paris?
Why were women brought to Paris for ”pure initiation” made to watch pornographic films of the lowest kind
and films with urinary orgies, instead of being offered artistic films that inspire them to achieve transfiguration?
Forcing them to watch regular porn was intended to habituate them and convince them to accept loveless
sex with a disgusting individual they didn't love because they had never seen him in real life.
You would have expected that at MISA, with the passage of time, the practice of sexual continence oriented
towards love and sacred, accompanied by the "sublimation of the creative potential in the higher levels of being",
to gradually lead to a more elevated way of making love, in which love and the spontaneous emergence of an
ecstatic experience predominate at the mere presence of the loved one, but no obvious tendency to transcend
gross sexuality is observed with the advancement in the course curriculum, but on the contrary, more excessive
sexual practices were added, such as group sex orgies, polyamory, urinary orgasm, tickling, and finally, nude yoga,
as the sexually obsessed leader's mind concocted these fantasies!
quote:
But even this only shows part of the picture. In Bivolaru’s writing, the Godly Attribute of Pure Eros is not limited
to intimate interaction. It is presented as a fundamental energy that can be present in all aspects of life.
Pure Eros is the capacity to experience life fully, with awareness and refinement. In this sense, Pure Eros
becomes a way of being. A simple example makes this clearer. Two people can share the same moment - a meal,
a conversation, a walk. One moves through it distracted, thinking about something else. The other is fully there
- attentive, receptive, present. The difference is not in the situation, but in the state of being. In the second case,
there is already a form of Pure Eros present.
comment: Then what is the difference between Pure Eros, on the one hand, and the Godly Attributes of Attention,
Supramental Lucidity or Godly Presence, on the other hand? According to expert Bivolaru, Attributes represent
"DISTINCT subtle energies, which never change." It is as if everything is reduced to the energies of Pure Eros
which, in turn, are reduced to sexual energies. It would have been correct for Bivolaru to have defined Pure Eros
as the general tendency of polar opposite aspects to merge and restore the original androgynous state, followed
by an ecstatic state, but in this case the amorous fusion would be only a particular way of advancing towards
the higher aspect of the fusion of opposites, which would pass sexuality on a secondary level, which Bivolaru
obviously didn't want, he sought to maintain concrete sexuality as a central aspect and as a purpose, in order
to profit.
quote:
The fact that many mystical experiences throughout the history of spirituality have been described in deeply
erotic terms shows that Pure Eros is not limited to lovemaking, but can also manifest in states of inner communion
and direct relationship with God.
comment: If Pure Eros is not limited to the act of love, then why is this done at MISA? Why did Bivolaru
insist that the female followers he invited to his place accept sexual initiation? Why didn't he induce them
DIRECT states of communion with God, as it claims to do in the case of men?
quote:
This way of understanding the erotic energy is not without precedent. What is more specific in Bivolaru’s
teaching is the clarity with which this process is approached. The emphasis on continence, on the accumulation
of energy, on transfiguration, on the combination of Pure Eros with love, and on the refinement of experience
- these are not abstract ideas, but something that can be verified in practice. For example, the claim that intimacy
can continue for hours without discharge, while deepening in intensity and awareness, is not presented as theory.
It is something that practitioners are invited to explore directly. This is where the teaching becomes concrete.
And it is also where it is most often misunderstood.
comments: The very fact that teaching becomes concrete leads to misunderstandings, not because of those
from outside, but even because of those who preach it! Those outside the school - the "ignorant people" - have
always noticed the difference between words and deeds, between theory and practice, between what MISA
claims to be and what it actually is. Within MISA there is constant talk and big mouthing about God, but
in practice it is always just about sex. People talk loudly about beautiful and sacred, but in practice it is just
pornography of the lowest kind. Bivolaru reproaches his followers that they don't have enough sex and
that they don't watch enough of the porn movies that he himself has selected for them. For Bivolaru, loving
someone means urinating in their mouth. Instead of MISA's yoga practice meaning spiritual elevation, ascent
from the gross to the subtle, from the profane to the sacred, it is in reality a continuous involution, from the
symbolic to the material, from the sacred to the profane, a desecration of the sacred! Everything at MISA
revolves around sexuality concrete, raw!
quote:
From the outside, these ideas are easily interpreted through familiar assumptions. Everything is reduced
to sexuality. Terms are flattened. The distinction between instinctual sexuality and consciously awakened
Pure Eros disappears. This is what we often see in podcasts and documentaries. Certain elements are presented,
but the framework that gives them meaning is left out. What remains is a simplified image that does not reflect
what is actually taught.
comments: What is seen in podcasts and documentaries is exactly how MISA is seen from the outside and
exactly what is actually happening inside it. The female students brought like sheep to Paris, are pressured,
at the express instructions of the guru Bivolaru, to watch a multitude of pornographic films of the lowest
quality, as "preparation" for sexual initiation, which should have been a chance for them to rise from profane
sex to sacred eroticism, but in reality this causes the exact opposite, disgusts them. Just as a tree is known
by its fruit, so MISA is known for its "erotic" films and video chats, which are no different from porn ones.
