Silly old Grieg "The Baptist"

Anyone who has been part of the sect knows that a number of MISA followers have changed their names over the years.

The practice is not new and neither invented by MISA or the guru Gregorian Bivolaru. In many religions or spiritual paths the disciple chooses or receives a new name. Usually, this spiritual name is only used within the community, outside of it, in 'civil' life, being used the name on the identity card.

The spiritual name would highlight the "divine potential and qualities of the disciple" or help him manifest the spiritual attributes embodied by this name. It would also serve to identify with the spiritual body, supporting the disciple's spiritual evolution

Other reasons for changing the name - not only within MISA - would be to eliminate selfish attachment and identification with the ego through the name, to open up new spiritual resonances, to change one's destiny or to escape illness (not to be found by illness).

Within MISA three types of name change can be identified.

1. Baptism in the Orthodox Rite

Since the 1990s, atheist students (mostly from) abroad, who became religious after joining MISA, were baptized in the Orthodox rite in the MISA camps in Herculane by local priests and given a new name.

Even the MISA website confirms the practice of such baptisms.

"Atheist trainees who wish to be baptized (especially in other countries where baptism is not common practice) are baptized in the Orthodox religion, with the help of Orthodox priests, following this ritual and Christian mystery in the most profound way."

It was rumored that some trainees had Grieg himself as godfather.

After the raids in 2004, after which the founder of the movement chose to "self-exile himself", the practice of baptism continued, but with various other "godfathers". One of the "court photographers" published in 2009 a photo of one such baptism on his blog.

Also in 2009, the user Jedi Knight posted on the Softpedia forum an "IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT", circulating at the time among MISA students, revealing the terms of a baptism "supported by Grieg".

"Persons wishing to have a BAPTISM are requested to send to the Library, by March 20, 2009, two photos in a bathing suit (two pieces - girls), on which they should write in capital letters: name, surname, year of course and town, date of birth, telephone number.
The baptism will be supported by GRIEG during the International Yoga Symposium on 30 April-10 May 2009.
Please note that this baptism is for people who are not baptized in the Orthodox rite and is NOT about receiving spiritual names."

Why do you need swimsuit photos for an Orthodox baptism? Why is it "necessary" that Gregorian Bivolaru makes the "subtle" selection of candidates for an Orthodox baptism?
Whoever did not receive an "YES note", the famous "sui generis" divine approval of the guru, was not allowed to be baptized?
And who was officiating these baptisms after Bivolaru's selection?

In June 2014, the MISA website reported with proletarian anger that "MISA is a pain in the neck for many church leaders" in Romania, who refuse "to fulfill their role as mediators between man and God" in the case of some people within the movement.
Several trainees, both from Romania and abroad, are said to have been rejected by a certain priest named Pereș from Herculane, among others because they did not choose "correct" names such as Ion or Vasile.

2. Baptism in the "Bivolaru" rite

This type of baptism generally took place at the express request of the learner and would be linked, at least in the case of some, to the existence in which the student had the highest spiritual level. How "divinely inspired" was the guru of Tărtășești in his choice of the names can be seen in the (incomplete) list below.

The luckiest, mostly top instructors of the sect, were given yogic names.

Adinatha   Adinathananda   Advaita/Advaitananda   AghoraVidya   Amrita  Amritananda

Ananda   Ananda Ishwari  Bagala  Dhumavatiananda  Indra  Ishvarananda  Lalita (Sundari)  Mahashakti

Prema Ananda  Sahajananda   Sattwa  Shaktiananda   Shakti Avadhananda  Vairagyananda   Vajrananda

Within MISA there is also a Swami with a resounding name.  Mahalayananda, founder and former coordinator of the MISA branches in Finland and then Portugal, did not get his name from MISA's 'High Priest'. He was given this title after being properly initiated by Narcis Tarcău (Swami Vivekananda Saraswati), a former MISA instructor. It remains a mystery whether his name is derived from the Sanskrit term Mahalaya or from the Romanian word - mahala (=slum).

Just a few of Gregorian Bivolaru's non-yogic "spiritual names" sound remotely decent.

There is everything in between: Frenchisms, Englishisms, tasteless infantilisms and a lot of mockery. I've bolded the most "original" ones.

Abdiasol     Agapetin     Agenor    Ailinor    Aimen Klimmeron     Aldolinor     Aloronel    Analurin

Angelonel   Anikalea   Anima   Antonella   Antonoral   Aretina   Arnesolon   Asialeta   Assellenina

Atarama     Augustiano    Augustino     Aurea    Auregana    Aurianela     Aurine    Axelina    Belina

Belinda   Bella Maestrinna    Beniamin   Benitanela   Bethianela    Blandine   Brynhilda   Callistelina

Candide   Celeste   Celina   Celestine    Chloe    Christella    Cinnielina   Clionela   Cristin   Cyrusol

Derynola   Dominela   Dorian   Edena  Eglantine   Elinor   Elinor   Elisana   Eloise   Emeric   Erellona

Erophila   Erotina  Etela   Exuperilon  Fael   Felicien   Felicite  Fergusol   Foca   Frodelin  Gaudencia

Ghaada   Gloriant   Grace   Gratien  Gwen   Hakin   Honorat   Isis   Jasmin   Jayson   Joseline   Justina

Lea    Magdalena   Marvin    Mirabela   Mironel    Odinne    Olinela    Onyxa     Philomena Benedicta

Serafim    Shawn   Sofian    Suavina   Uriel   Uriell   Vanina   Yveline

The coolest of all the above mentioned MISA disciples turns out to be Carmen Enache, former coordinator of the Sophrozin theatre and director of the porn films shot within MISA before 2004. She has adorned herself over the years with 5 names: MahashaktiBella MaestrinnaAghoraVairagyananda and currently Aghora Vidya.

3. Changing of the entire identity

However, there are also cases of MISA followers who have changed both their first and last names after their contact with the sect, more specifically with the guru. It is not clear whether any of them have officially changed their identity.

One female journalist and former Miss Elite Model Look truncated her surname (although it sounds rather tantric) after becoming a trainee and even a MISA spokesperson.

An instructor and founding MISA member, who was involved in illegally setting up the sect on the basis of a gross forgery, has two profiles on Linkedin with almost identical photos but different names: profile #1 and profile #2

The second identity is said to have come to him through the guru's grace. Why? Maybe because he's left with the mind he had when he was 4-5 years old, when he allegedly had "paranormal experiences" and now he plays the parapsychology expert

The MISA champion in the "change of the entire identity" category is none other than the embarrassing Gregorian Bivolaru. He officially changed his name in 2006 to the bombastic Magnus Aurolsson.  Simply out of fear. For the same reason he changed his name in 2016, this time illegally, to Nikolay Petrov, using a fake passport in Paris.

How "beneficial" these name changes have been for the MISA "baptized" is proven by the events they have been involved in over the years.

Yveline died of cancer. Elinor and Gloriant had serious accidents. Cyrusol has been blessed since 2020 for issues that have not yet been made public. Jayson took it hard on the show. He joined the "Sovereigns" group, burned his ID and driver's license. According to an article published in July 2021 on MISA's website, he would end up in jail.

He is second only to his ridiculous guru, to which the "beneficial" effects keep on coming. The "divine manifestation of God on earth, whose splendor shines like a thousand suns" was sentenced in 2013 in Romania to six years in prison for sexual intercourse with a minor. He has served several prison terms in Romania, Sweden and France. He also spent some time in a mental hospital. He has pending trials in Finland and Italy.

What's more, 'Grieg' is wanted by Finland via Interpol (European Arrest Warrant) for human trafficking.

With such a record, it's quite imperative to let yourself be "blessed" and "baptized" by this silly clown!
