III. COMMUNITY and MEMBERS
18. Voluntary work
Authors G.B. and M.D. show that within the sects, work is imposed on the members of the sect, this involves either certain physical activities,
or propaganda activities.
These activities are a source of enrichment for the sect and its leader and are not limited to household activities.
Within the YOGA schools that have ASHRAMs, the work that those living in the ASHRAMs do is voluntary,
it is minimal and freely chosen, closely related to their skills and affinities.
The authors conclude that the work imposed within the sects is often excessive, it is brutalizing and robotic.
Often, this work is found in the activity of propaganda and recruitment of new members, which the sects carry out without ceasing.
In case of YOGA schools having ASHRAMs, the activities that YOGA practitioners carry out within the ASHRAMs are also included
in a form of YOGA similar to voluntary activity, called KARMA YOGA.
Within MISA, the activities carried out, of any nature, are not mandatory but optional.
Self-maintenance in ashrams or camps is natural, as is voluntary work to support common activities.
MISA promotes volunteering, with the difference that the results of voluntary work remain exclusively within the organization,
while "volunteering" in the natural sense of the word is work for the benefit of the needy, the community or society,
in which the volunteers benefit from their work only indirectly (for example in the case of greening, cleaning the environment of residues.)
And more precisely, the volunteers at the canteens for the poor prepare and provide food to the needy, but they do not receive remuneration
nor does consume that food ("they do not pluck from the mouth of the poor").
At MISA, the entire result of volunteer work remains exclusively for the benefit of the organization.
It is often said that MISA activists (instructors, coordinators) do not receive remuneration for their work.
In 2002, in the article "Romania leads the German Academy of Traditional Yoga" from the magazine MISA® Yoga Magazin no. 32,
M.A.H. - yoga instructor in Berlin, declares:
"The Germans need to see how the system works on you, as a person.
They were very pleasantly surprised to find out that I, for example, have no material gain from these courses,
that my source of income is different.”
And on the website of the German Academy for Traditional Yoga it is stated:
”ATMAN provides all members with the course materials required for the Long Term Yoga Course (originally written by MISA members)
and the Tantra Yoga course (originally written by Natha members and other teachers) for free.
Also, to be clear, no fee was charged by MISA or Mr. Bivolaru for providing the yoga classes.
Genuine spiritual teachers, and this has become clear to us over many years, will never limit the free will of the individual with their advice
and will not use their power as an authority figure for personal gain.
Their support is always focused on the individual student's well-being."
On the website of the Theophanic Charismatic Movement, MISA® states the following about its initiator:
"Gregorian Bivolaru prepared and published hundreds of articles in specialized magazines about yoga and spirituality
and has written to date 70 distinct books on yoga, spirituality, herbal medicine and natural healing, he translated dozens of fundamental volumes
in the field of spirituality and held many public conferences on spirituality.
Another significant aspect is that for all the books that Gregorian Bivolaru wrote, he did not request money for any of them
and offered them free of charge to publishing houses and individuals who wanted to publish them."
If Bivolaru does not receive money and has not requested money for all its activities - not even for courses or books,
then what does he live on?
As a political asylum seeker (only since 2005), Bivolaru receives from Sweden a monthly pension of 7500 sweedish krona (675 euros),
which means very little to this country (see here).
But when he was captured in Paris in 2016, at the Salon Champerret de Carte y Manuscrise Vechi, Bivolaru would have had
Also, what do those old instructors who left their jobs or careers when MISA started to make a living
and who have never worked a day in their lives?
The exception is, of course, those who have opened various businesses - publishing houses, sales of natural products, MLM -
whose clientele are especially MISA students.
Also, some of the old instructors who live abroad, have opened various fee-based distance (online) courses,
mainly on behalf of the students from the "basic course".
Editing, printing, media channel support activities, as well as the opening of new courses and course years,
are part of the RECRUITMENT action of new members.
Another problem with regard to working at MISA is the dancer's activity abroad (Japan) as well as the erotic video chats,
in which MISA students participated or are participating.
Some of these students even live in ashrams, as Bivolaru himself admitted.
Recently, in a conference within the "Morals and Bad Habits" series, Bivolaru criticized the choice of a female student to switch to hardcore films,
after she had been active since 2005 on erotic video chats (link), without him criticizing her even though, all this time,
she lived in a MISA building, as he himself admits.
So there are students who live (for free?) in the ashram while active on erotic video chats!

"Voluntary work" at MISA has been the subject of criminal cases, which have ended with acquittals
or reaching the statute of limitations.
From these, it emerged that voluntary activities at MISA are not carried out by force or coercion, but are consented.
But these are carried out under the cover of the practices of the Karma Yoga system, through promises of "spiritual liberation".
What is done at MISA is not Karma Yoga, since even some of those who preach it benefit from the fruits of actions.
Finally, although the profit-making activities of MISA are not imposed or forced, they are sometimes for the benefit
of those in the leadership of the group, under the guise of the Karma Yoga system.
An example is the free board and lodging provided to members of management of the yogic camps.
19. Taxes
The authors show that members of sects must submit to often absurd impositions that blatantly defy individual freedom.
Non-compliance with these requirements entails certain punishments or various blackmails.
Within the YOGA system, the discipline is first of all internal, self-imposed, being excluded from being imposed in a forceful way, from the outside.
All yogic treatises state that no considerable spiritual progress occur if certain fundamental ethical and moral principles (YAMA and NIYAMA) are not respected at all.
When conducting MISA activities, there are some rules that appear beyond the red line for a simple yoga class. So:
- some information presented during the courses is considered secret and cannot be disclosed to those who do not participate in the courses;
starting from the 15th year of the course, the printed courses are coded, and receiving the codes that allow deciphering
is conditioned by taking an oath of secrecy, which is actually a self-curse.

- participation in some "initiation" activities (courses or rituals considered secret) is conditioned by taking the oath of secrecy
- receiving "healing" natural recipes or austerities (TAPAS) is conditioned by taking the oath of secrecy
- in case of internal rules, those who participated in the activity must swear that they did not break the rule
(At some point, between 1995-2000, Bivolaru unexpectedly decreed a month of sexual abstinence,
for the entire duration of the Scorpio sign.
At the end, also unexpectedly, he requested that each student take a written oath, signed and sealed with a finger dipped in their own saliva (!),
that they did not violate abstinence during the imposed period. The oath was on each one's own health and spiritual evolution.)
- in some cases where internal rules were violated, and the author was not known, all those who participated had to draw lots
tickets that "showed" who the culprit was! (link)
- participation in the "initiation" camps is conditional on photos in a front/semi-profile swimsuit, along with HIV/VDRL blood tests
- access to "initiation actions" or other activities considered secret at MISA is conditioned by access cards for which
photos are requested under the above conditions, any kind of recording (including writing) is prohibited,
at the entrance there is a body check, sometimes with scanners that detect miniature electronic devices/
Order and physical controls are ensured by a "security team" that sometimes manifests quite harshly.
Access to MISA activities is based on access cards (for which a fee is often paid.)
Some of these cards have sections for stamps attesting to the payment of the monthly fee as well as stamps which certifies attendance at classes,
both upon arrival and upon departure!
Arriving at classes after a certain limit, as well as leaving earlier than a certain limit, are sanctioned with absence,
even if the fee for those courses has been paid!
When reaches a number of absences, the student loses the right to continue the respective course year and is forced to repeat it,
paying the fee once more.
The penalty for violating these requirements is future exclusion from these activities.
On the other hand, exclusion leads to the loss of investment of money, effort and time (sometimes decades) in participating in these activities.
On the other hand, those who lose the right to participate are warned that they definitely lose a huge chance of salvation,
so they are "damned" (see sub-chapter "16. Former members" of this series of articles or the article "Way of the lost").
This warning constitutes MISA's most vile form of manipulation and the strongest psychological pressure.
That's why most followers behave like sheeps that are afraid to leave the fold for fear of wolves, but at MISA the wolves are inside.
Lately, due to low participation in some spiritual activities, Bivolaru has started to threaten postponement or even cancellation
(but by this means especially those who usually participate are penalized!)

In other cases, those who do not participate for a certain period are warned that in the future they will only have access for a fee:

Students who violate the ethical and moral rules of the yoga system, but also those who violate the internal (sometimes aberrant) rules of MISA
are criticized and publicly exposed with names, surnames and intimate details in the conference series "Morals and bad habits",
which the spiritual leader of MISA has been supporting for almost a decade as a platform for criticism.
Those who are criticized are publicly summoned to give explanations or make self-criticism of the Mea Culpa type,
the summons being sometimes disguised as a test or even a spiritual gift(!).
Students and instructors expressing personal views in public actions (written papers or conferences)
without asking for the "Guide's" approval in advance, are penalized with harsh reviews made through other students or instructors,
which shows an attitude of servitude towards the leader.
These "reviews" sometimes take the form of real lynchings, full of psychological pressure and even threats of violence:

"What if one comes and gives you, as you deserve, a beating? By what miracle did you manage not to get a beating until now?”
The criticized (in fact, attacked) is sent "to an Ayurvedic doctor to give him medicinal plants to heal now,
so long he has not yet left the physical world", alluding to the physical ailments he would have.
Then there is even a veiled accusation of conspiracy:
"Machiavelli is not a good man, he speaks cunningly, isn't he also conspiring?"
These dirty tactics of the MISA leader are part of the classic tactics of tyrants: "Divide and rule!"
Sometimes the violation of the leader's orders can be followed by more severe, even aberrant, sanctions:
"Bivolaru's messages in the 2021 summer holiday camp":
Message 1:
"We hereby inform you that X..., student of this school, has a definitive and irrevocable ban on touching, hugging or kissing
the female students of this school, because he chose to get vaccinated.
Please avoid any contact with this student, we mean physical contact.”
Message 2:
"We hereby inform you that it has been decided for student Y... not to touch, not to hug, not to kiss any female person within this esoteric spiritual school.
This decision is final and irrevocable...
We specify that Y... is also strictly prohibited from being touched, hugged, kissed by female persons within this school."
There are other types of sanctions.
For example, if someone loses their acces card, they will have to pay for a new one or buy hundreds of blank DVDs,
which will be inscribed with videos and will become gift(!) DVDs for students.
In general, sanctions are not exercised with violence or means of physical coercion, but only with psychological levers.
However, some cases of verbal violence were also found.
Bivolaru himself sets the tone for verbal violence at MISA.
To one of his advanced female students, former president of MISA, he dedicated a public message, "the cow with pink shoes" (part 1 and part 2).
In fact, Bivolaru often addresses those who do not share his views with insulting epithets
"The content of these conferences is not addressed to skeptical, obtuse, ignorant, stupid human beings who will be quick to think
or even to maintain with a foolish and unshakable conviction that all this we reveal to you for the first time is impossible."
conference "Morals and bad habits" - the case of the former student A.A. who made comments on Facebook about the MISA spiral:

in the madness that characterizes him" etc.
20. Taboo topics
The authors show that in all sects, "taboo subjects" abound, due to ideological contradictions, narrow, fanatical conceptions.
The authors conclude that in all sects there are many taboo subjects precisely because, if these would addressed openly,
honestly and intelligently, would question the doctrine or authority of the leader of that sect.
In the YOGA system there were not, are not, and never will be taboo subjects, precisely because YOGA aspires to integrate and wisely understand everything.
For the YOGA system, Truth is everything.
Taboo topics at MISA are the errors, contradictions and false or unproven information that the spiritual leader spreads.
It is not discussed that he is frequently wrong, he lies or contradicts himself in facts and statements.
Also, there is no discussion about the gross violation of ethical and moral principles by the leadership of the "spiritual school"
except when these violations do not concern the MISA leader or are convenient for him in his maneuvers
to undermine the position and authority of others in management.
On the contrary, any statement that disputes the official MISA view or questions the guru's spiritual authority,
is charged as a "dangerous, evil deviation" (heresy!), and MISA leaders incite the "unmasking" and then the marginalization of those
who support such contrary opinions, described as "demonic doubts" who aim to divide the spiritual group.

”Attention! Do not let yourselves divided and manipulated cunningly by the human beings who are animated by evil intentions
and who try in the shadow to disunite and influence you to the evil in order to distroy or shaken the state of brotherhood
and unity of this spiritual school!
The devil (SATAN), whose old name means“THE DIVIDER/ DISUNITER” is cryptically present in any cunning and mean action
which tries to disunite the state of unity and brotherhood of a spiritual group.
In case you face an attempt of deviation out off the spiritual path, do not hesitate to unmask their intentions,
so that they would be determined to expose publicly the aberrances and frames-up they are trying to poison your being with,
seeding into you the cockle of evilness and of different demoniac doubts.
Doing like this each of you will help to the drainage and even to the clearness of this school of such poisonous “brushwood”.
Through such malefic actions, they generate occult processes of resonance with the infernal realms.”
From the message, the following conclusions emerge:
- if the doubts about leader's teaching are demonic, then it implicitly follows that his teaching is divine
and he is infallible.
The name "demonic doubts" is justified only in relation to the divine Truth; otherwise,
it is about simple doubts,
which naturally arise in the case of a process of reasoning or discernment
("I doubt, therefore I think; I think, therefore I exist").
- not only the spreading of doubts is evil, but even the doubts themselves.
The MISA student need not even doubt; the mere appearance of doubts is the sign of a work of demons.
That is why the "glossary" definition of "demonic doubts" is very vague, to be able to include even justified doubts,
which in the end prove to be perfectly true (see the case of the conferences about Pope Francis, copied by Bivolaru
from fake news sites or pamphlets, which he himself retracted).
- MISA students are not urged to discern the truth value of opinions contrary to the "official, divine from the start",
but to reject them from the start and "expose" those who issue them as automatically enemies.
For example, when the administrator of a private group of MISA learners on Telegram deleted a laudatory comment
regarding the divine Attributes (which Bivolaru falsely appropriated as his ”revelation in the planetary premiere"),
the leader of MISA branded her as "an imbecile, a fierce enemy of the Attributes revelation, a tool of demons who hides like a rat."
He also ordered "to be detected without delay this cunning person", "whose name will be exposed in a later intervention."
Also, "all those who do this should be identified, unmasked and isolated".
In fact, Bivolaru starts most of his conferences with "revelations" with a "warning" addressed to those who will not believe
those to be "revealed".
For example, all Isotopic Marking conferences start like this:
"The content of these conferences is not addressed to skeptical, obtuse, ignorant, stupid human beings
which,
due to the deathly sleep of the intellect in which they are already plunged, they will rush completely illogicaly to think
or even to maintain with a foolish conviction that all this is impossible."
Later, Bivolaru was forced to retract or come back on some of his statements made "with a stupid conviction"
within these ridiculous conferences.
Question:
Those who doubted these aberrations and were right (a fact finally admitted even by the great Sage Himself),
what kind of doubts did they show?
It should also be added that those who post inconvenient personal opinions on MISA's private "discussion" groups
they are automatically excluded from those groups.
Another taboo topic at MISA consists of facts or information inside organization which are considered "secret"
and which are "protected" by taking of terrible oaths by the participants.
